Iranien
by Mehran Tamadon
Official selection 2014
Official synopsis
Back in his homeland, Mehran Tamadon convinces four ultra-conservatives to live with him for a few days. This experience is a way to think about "living together", to find common ground between opposing visions of what an ideal society is: secular for the Iranian filmmaker, religious for his opponents. It’s an incredible philosophical and political exercise which reminds us of “The Republic” of Plato.
