All Hands on Deck À l'abordage
by Guillaume Brac
Special screenings 2020
Official synopsis
Chérif meets Alma in Paris. They come from different backgrounds, yet the summer light unites them in a long kiss. The reality gets crueler when the young man surprises her while she’s on vacation. The feminine ideal appears as either a clown or a mermaid, depending on the stage of the relationship. With this fourth feature film, Guillaume Brac continues to permeate contemporary French cinema with his sharp, tender and human gaze. “All Hands on Deck” is a solar comedy about class struggle as well as the relationship between men and women.
