Official synopsis

In a small Portuguese village, an old lady is found dead in her garden, surrounded by snakes, while her 40 year-old daughter, Lurdes, fled without telling anyone. The gossips in town are spreading fast. Starting with a real-life story, the inner life of a woman is gradually disclosed, torn between the responsibilities she inherited like a curse and the weight of her consciousness, who has to free herself, at any cost.
