Rosa's Wedding La boda de Rosa
by Icíar Bollaín
Special screenings 2020
Official synopsis
For twenty years, Icíar Bollaín has portrayed Spain in a feminine way, tackling prejudice and male violence with “Flowers of Another World”, “Take my Eyes” or this film. To recount the fate of her heroines, she has never scorned genre cinema, drama or, as it’s the case here, comedy. Her Rosa is a daughter, a sister, a mother, a fiancée and even the perfect costume designer... Only, at 45 years old, she is tired of being a sucker and decides to get married. With whom? Nobody knows. When those around her find out, it doesn’t really help Rosa go on with her life.
