Official synopsis
Nour, 27, has immigrated illegally from Morocco to Marseille . With his friends, he lives a marginal and festive life... But meeting Serge, a charismatic and unpredictable police officer, and his wife Noémie, turns his life upside down.
From 1990 to 2000, Nour loves, grows old and clings to his dreams.
Biography and Filmography
Saïd Hamich Benlarbi is a Franco-Moroccan screenwriter, director, and producer who graduated from La Fémis and is a recipient of the Lagardère Foundation grant. He has collaborated with filmmakers such as Faouzi Bensaïdi, Philippe Faucon, Leyla Bouzid, Nabil Ayouch, Yasmine Benkiran, Camille Lugan, and Kamal Lazraq. In 2018, his debut feature film Retour à Bollène was nominated for the Louis-Delluc Prize for Best First Film. In 2022, his short film Le Départ was selected for numerous international festivals, including Namur, Rotterdam, Palm Springs, Cleveland, Rhode Island, Clermont-Ferrand, and Grenoble. It won around twenty awards and was nominated for the César Awards. La Mer au loin is his second feature film.
