Official synopsis
Salomé, 10, has a wart on her nose. She's disgusted by her own reflection. At night, she spies on her parents through the keyhole. Strange things are happening, which no one speaks of... A spell will be cast.
The programmer’s eye
Why in movies do parents always make love with a door that is not properly closed, shamelessly half-opened, or with a key left far from the keyhole, allowing any ill-asleep child to glance through it? Sarah Lasry uses this cinematic cliché to stretch its dramaturgical possibilities, thanks to her Salomé who makes the eruption of a wart a potential trigger of the apocalypse, in an effort to confuse carnal horror, the dislocation of the family unit and an essay on contemporary witchcraft. Farcical and terrifying. — Pierre Guidez
