In 2005, Mimi Madamour, the young pop idol, lives a curse and fiery romance with queer punk icon Billie Kohler. Amongst love, hatred, and torn desires for the spotlight, their pursuit of glory and their passion for each other lead them down a path of self-destruction. They are the symbol of an entire generation, a duo that unleashes crowds, they are the Queens of Drama.
Biography and Filmography
After studying at Paris 8 - where she wrote a dissertation on Magdalena Montezuma - and at the National School of Arts in Paris-Cergy, Alexis Langlois produced “Trinkets and Dark Thoughts” with the G.R.E.C., in which she films revelers and performers from underground Paris. The following year, with the same company, she toured the musical “Your Young Years Will Dry Your Tears”. After “Terror, sisters!”, produced by Les films du Bélier, she directed “The Demons of Dorothy”, which premiered at Locarno in August 2021 and won the Silver Leopard and the Young Jury Grand Prix. "Queens of Drama" premiered at the Critics' Week at Cannes in 2024.
