Official synopsis
August 1992. A remote valley in the East, blast furnaces that no longer burn. Fourteen-year-old Anthony is bored stiff. One scorching afternoon by the lake, he meets Stéphanie. It's love at first sight, and that very evening, he secretly borrows his father's motorcycle to attend a party where he hopes to see her again. But when he wakes up the next morning to find the motorcycle missing, his life takes a dramatic turn.
Based on the novel of the same name by Nicolas Mathieu, published by Éditions Actes Sud, winner of the 2018 Prix Goncourt.
Biography and Filmography
In 2016, at the age of 23, twin brothers Ludovic Boukherma and Zoran Boukherma co-directed their first feature film, “Willy the 1st”, with Marielle Gautier and Hugo Thomas. It was selected at ACID in Cannes and won the d’Ornano-Valenti Award for Best French First Film. “Teddy” is their second feature film and their first one just together.
