After The Color Wheel, Alex Ross Perry still knows how to make a character unsympathetic. Philip, probably Jason Schwartzman's best role, is a monument of sufficiency and of vulnerability that we'd like to slap ten, twenty or a hundred times. Through him, the film pays a beautiful homage to literature (and Philip Roth in particular) and details the price to be paid to create : "probably the best movie I've seen this year", tweeted another writer...
