Official synopsis
Ruthie and Or, her 17-year-old daughter, live in a small apartment in Tel Aviv. Ruthie has been a prostitute for twenty years. Or has already tried several times, without success, to get her off the street. Or's daily life is a never-ending succession of odd jobs: washing dishes in a restaurant, washing stairwells, collecting returnable bottles... all the while going to school when she can. Ruthie's health becomes critical. As her mother is released from yet another hospital stay, Or decides that things must change...
