The cinematic son of Gus Van Sant and Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Jonathan Vinel directs a beautiful machinima where romantic love enthuses through the graphic violence of the First Person Shooter.
Biography and Filmography
Jonathan Vinel graduated from La Fémis in 2015. He both directed and codirected several short films including “As Long as Shotguns Remain” (2014) with Caroline Poggi. The film won the Golden Bear at the Berlinale and the Short Film Competition Prize at the FIFIB. The stooges directed their first feature film, “Jessica Forever”, in 2018.
