While online gamers recount how difficult it is to escape "swatting" – a phenomenon of cyberbullying – this film, made from YouTube videos and vector images extracted from a video game, offers a sublime take on the Internet flow.
Biography and Filmography
Ismaël Joffroy Chandoutis is developing a “cinématière”, i.e. a hybrid artistic practice that expands cinema to the field of contemporary art. His work questions technologies, memory, the virtual world and explores the porous worlds of images. His films “Swatted” and “Dark Waves” received several awards (Clermont-Ferrand, IndieLisboa...). He is currently working on a feature film, “Deep Fake”.
