A renowned director with history in filming the suburbs, far from cliches, Rabah Ameur-Zaïmeche tells the unsettling story of a hospital doctor who witnesses the murder of a journalist friend. He finds himself torn between his feelings and his sense of duty, in a country undermined by civil war.
Biography and Filmography
Born in 1966 in Algeria, Rabah Ameur-Zaïmeche arrived in France in 1968. He grew up in the Bosquets housing estate in Montfermeil, in Seine-St-Denis. After studying social sciences he founded Sarrazink Productions in 1999. Since then, he has produced and directed six films: "Wesh, Wesh, What's Happening?" (2001), "Back Home" (2006), "Dernier Maquis" (2008), "Smugglers' Songs" (2011, Locarno - Concorso internazionale), "Story of Judas" (2015) and "South Terminal".
