Official synopsis
From the Mont Blanc massif to the Arizona desert, a quartz crystal passes through the hands of geophysicists, acousticians, and gemologists. They all explore our possibilities of communication with the non-living mineral. This journal of a quartz takes us on a journey to the limits of our perception systems, to question the irrefutable.
Biography and Filmography
Florent Meng is a graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris and the Workmaster program at HEAD – Geneva. With a background in photography, he uses both photographic series and film, as well as fiction and documentary, to explore how territory can influence community behaviors and how attitudes and customs can, in turn, shape the identity of a territory and its people.
