Rascal Vaurien

Official selection 2020
Official synopsis
After working at the social emergencies department in Paris for ten years, Peter Dourountzis offers a disturbing and powerful first feature film on the impossible reintegration of a prisoner. Portrayed by Pierre Deladonchamps in a landmark role, this young man seizes every opportunity to sleep, love or… kill. The precise and subtle staging manages to renew a genre. It also questions the most archaic impulses found in those excluded from a society that is totally obsessed with consumption.
